In the last Debatables, Cricketmuse and I squared off on which picture book was the funniest.
Cricket argued on behalf of Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible No Good, Very Bad Day—a great picture book by most any measure…but the funniest?
No. Not by a longshot, buddy-boy.
I, on the other hand, said The Stinky Cheese Man and other Fairly Stupid Tales.
The commenters proved me right; in fact, it was a rout. If not for a single cheeky non-conformist, I would’ve gotten a unanimous decision.
So, well done, readers! You all have delightful senses of humor!
I would expect nothing less.
It’s time for yet another installment of Debatables!
This month, Cricket Muse and I argue over The Funniest Picture Book.
Cricket (inexplicably) says the funniest PB is Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No-Good Very Bad Day.
And I (wisely) say that it’s The Stinky Cheese Man and Other Fairly Stupid Tales.
So head over to Cricket’s place, read our arguments, and spout your opinions! (That’s what Debatables is all about, after all!)
The first two books in my Prince Not-So Charming chapter book series, Once Upon a Prank and Her Royal Slyness, go on sale today!
They’re filled with funly funnishness!
(I’m really proud of ’em.)
Oh, and they’re cheap!
So please consider picking up some copies. If you do, I’ll buy you a fudgsicle.
