And some weeks your draw a doodle of a water bear.
OK. I admit I took a few artistic liberties. But mine’s cuter.
On a completely unrelated note…

The menu item above that used to say “My Book,” now says “My Books.” So click here if you want to learn a bit more about the titles that’ll be coming out this fall.
I’m also scheduling school visits for the 2018-19 academic year. So if you live in New Jersey, New York, or Pennsylvania and would like to have a charming fella put on his crowd-pleasing dog and pony show, write a comment or send me an email!
True. Your’s is quite a bit more adorable.
Thank you. I have a gift for be-cutening the icky.
I consider my my head lice doodle to be especially accoplished:

Heheheheh…
Oh.. EW! Your’s is DEFINITELY cuter! What in the world is that thing??? I wish I lived close by so I could get you to come to a local school. Best of luck with your new book! How exciting Mike!! ❤
Fear not, they are microscopic (and quite remarkable, really).
Interesting little creatures… maybe science can learn uselful information from them! 😉
The things I learn from you.
Um……………..5 feet? Or is my cracked rib messin’ with my mind??
Five feet? What’cha talkin’ about, Boo?
I was wondering about the five feet too… But more of your doodles are always welcome!
Your water bear…has 5 feet….?
Oh! Yeah, they have eight feet, but my water bear’s chubby blorpiness covers up three of ‘em.
8 FEET??? ok. If’n ya say so…
Blorpiness? If that’s not a word, it should be.
The next star in an upcoming book, I hope! Enjoy your author travels, schools and other venues are in for a treat!
Hm… Perhaps a water bear does need a starring vehicle.
I can’t wait for this book to show up, Mike. If you’re ever out on the west coast, our little school would love to have you visit!
Not an impossible circumstance. I’ll keep you in the loop!
Oh, I thought it may be a water bear with cubs and she was showing her water bear utters??? 🙂 I love your book cover and look forward to reading your upcoming release.
Thanks, Patricia!
Someday we will meet up at an SCBWI function. The “My Books” addition is way cool.
SCBWI events do foster many fond friendships. What’s your state again?
Frazzled. It’s the last week of school, remember?
Oh, you!
I love that you can now say “books!” That little water bear dude looks like it’s made from super tough canvas and the end of a hose!
Oh, I loooove that I can finally say “books” too! I was wondering if that day would ever come!
How fun for you! I’m afraid I live as far away as can be in the contiguous U.S.
Clearly you must move closer to the East Coast. Get to work on that, won’t you?
I’ll see what I can do!
I don’t even know what a water bear is. I have a feeling I am very ignorant. But I do think you should draw a doodle of what you look like during your dog and pony show! 🤓
You know what? I think I will!
If I could draw like you, I’d skip blogging for a doodle too.
You know that time when you thought you’d commented on your friend’s post, and then later found that you’d really just disappeared down the rabbit hole, only to find yourself somewhere completely different, and reading an article about a raccoon that stole the nation’s attention by scaling a 23-story building? Well, maybe you don’t recall that time. I do. I’ve preordered two of your books. Can’t believe I really have to wait until August, which, if you have a teenager (I know you have a teenager), is (like) forever.
I understand being distracted by the raccoon saga. (How could one not be?) But, remember, you *also* need to give me your new address so I can send you your hard-won copy of Sarah Gives Thanks. How cool is that? You have yet another book to add to your ever-growing Mike Allegra literary collection!(Thanks for your orders BTW!)
You sir, are awesome.
