And The Winner Is…

The day is here!

The votes are recorded!

The raffle for the Sleepy Happy Capy Contest is about to begin!

And the grand prize is THIS!

WOO!

A brand new, hardcover, personalized and signed copy of Sleepy Happy Capy Cuddles!

As always, the draw-er of the winning ballot is my boy, who has been selecting raffle winners on this blog for the past decade.

He is fair, decent, kind, thoughtful, impartial, scrupulously honest and… and…

And…weird. The kid is weird.

Okay. Let’s get started.

Drop the ballots in the hat and pick a winner, kid.

There you go. You’ve mixed ’em. Now pick one.

Um, no. I think you mixed them enough.

Fine. Whatever. Just hurry up. People are waiting.

Okay, now pick one.

Stop stirring and pick one!

You do NOT need to mix it with your nose! PICK A WINNER!

Okay. Here we go.

And the winner is…

The winner is…

Pam Webb!

Congratulations, Pam! You win a free copy of Sleepy Happy Capy Cuddles!

All you gotta do is head on over to my Hire Me! page and send me your mailing address. I’ll get the book out to you post haste!

Thanks so much to everyone who entered!

And, hey, if you still want a copy of Sleepy Happy Capy Cuddles (and who can blame you?), please consider buying it. Or ask your local library to stock a copy. Or maybe both?

And once you get your hands on the book, please consider leaving an online review for a chance to receive some free Sleepy Happy Capy Cuddles swag! (More info to come.)

See you again soon, my friends! And, again, thank you!

  1. That was fun to read lol, much more interesting than most giveaway announcements…Congratulations Pam!

I’m definitely going to ask for this at my library- I think my nephews and niece would love it!

  2. What a fun post, Mike! I’ll be smiling all morning now. Especially over the picture of your boy using his BEAK to stir the pot! 😁And congratulations to Pam. I know she’ll love this book as much as I do. (I’ll be leaving a review soon, too!) Have a great day, my friend! 👍😊

    1. My boy doesn’t take his ballot selection responsibility lightly, that’s for sure. This blog contains a decade’s worth of his silliness. He’s a good boy.

And thank you for offering to review Sleepy Happy Capy Cuddles! Your generosity knows no bounds!

    1. Yay!

The book is available wherever fine books are sold. (It is also available wherever crappy books are sold; Sleepy Happy Capy Cuddles is not judgmental.)

Let me know when you get your copy and I’ll send you a signed bookplate.

  3. Wow! My bribe actually paid off this time. Actually I am stunned, amazed, and ridiculously pleased to be the winner. Tell “Beaky” he has a career as a professional winner picker. Finding a college with a credentialed program could be challenging though. Well Mike, I am a happy capy winner. See you in the winner’s circle.

    1. Your bribe has not yet arrived. Please be aware that if it is not received in the next ten days, the results of this drawing will be deemed null and void.

On a slightly more serious note, congrats, my friend!

  4. Congrats, Pam!!! This was hilarious. I was waiting for your son to pick his—ah, nose, LOL. He appears to be as funny, and strange, as you are. I’ve already got my copy, so I’m not missing out on any of the fun. Woohooo!! Have fun sharing this fab book with kiddos!

  5. Besides being a terrific post on a raffle, it made me feel old. SO old. I remember your lad when he was a wee little boy, placing his hand in a hat to find a winner. Now, now, He’s Become His Father in so many ways. (And I mean that in all the best ways, of course). Fun raffle except I didn’t win. Congrats to the other Pam.

  6. I am officially the worst. I should have checked here before I posted on my blog about this contest. Apparently I don’t get your posts AS they post. Sigh. {shakes head at the floor} I’m going to amend my post–post haste!

    1. I know you’re bummed, but don’t be! Your revised post is wonderful and I’m very grateful for your support. (If you wanna do another bloggy interview exchange in the near future, just say the word. I’m thinking or restarting my Waffles With Writers series.)

  7. Congratulations to Pam! It’s always fun to win something. Mostly always.
As for your son, YES he has grown! And has facial hair. Being a woman, I am always am glad my sons are taller than me. And I use it to my advantage, because my husband is short like me. I have them get things out of the cupboards I can’t reach. 😂

      1. You’ve got a while before that starts. 😉
Imagine my horror when I realized I’m an “older adult.”
There really wasn’t any warning for this. I’m too young for Social Security and Medicare, but now I have different warnings on medicine.
As in “older adults” may not tolerate this well.
        smh
As my friend says, I’m days away from standing on my porch and yelling at people to get off my lawn. lol
        Have a good one, Mikey!

      2. Not quite as long a wait as you might think, JAS! I’m a geezer at heart and have no qualms with telling those neighborhood ragamuffins to scram. I expect my upcoming ankle replacement surgery will boost my curmudgeonly qualities exponentially.

      3. It should. You will then have a crutch to swing at them.
I’m assuming a crutch. Knee rollers are pretty popular too.
I hope it goes well for you.
