When H.A.C.K.S. Attacks

You're reading a children's book by Neil Sedaka?! Are you out of your MIND?!

A recent post by the lovely Jilanne Hoffmann reminded me that I am supposed to be heading up an Important Social Movement.

Point taken.

And now Humans Against Celebrity Kid Stories (H.A.C.K.S.) is open for business!

Click on the menu item “H.A.C.K.S. Facts” at the top of the page!

Read all about it!

Join the cause (by “liking” the Join H.A.C.K.S. page)!

Spread the word!

Only together can we put an end to awful stories — like that Christmas one by Harry Connick Jr! (I expected better from you, Harry.)

  1. I’d like to make one exception . . . in l970 before the whole children’s books my celebrity craze started, Fred Gwynne, of Herman Munster fame, wrote and illustrated a book called “The King who Rained.” It is delightful. He did another one called “A Chocolate Moose for Dinner.” But a children’s book by George Foreman? No thanks.

    1. Actually, this is a conversation we’ll be having in the future. In the coming weeks I will be asking for nominees to receive the “Celebrity Book H.A.C.K.S. Seal of Approval.”

After all, Jamie Lee isn’t the only decent celeb writer out there!

But, for the moment, it’s all about getting members. There is strength in numbers! Spread the word!

      1. Then I shall nominate Mr. Gywnne when the time comes. I got to meet him. He acted in a play my uncle staged managed. He was delightful. His Herman Munster role gave him a stigma but he was an exceptional actor.
